Karwar: “In order to bring the problems of forest dwellers to the attention of the chief minister, we will stage a protest by wearing black bands near the Gandhi statue during the CM’s visit to Sirsi on January 15. We will keep ten demands before the CM,” said Aranya Bhoomi Hakku Horatagarara Vedike President Ravindra Naik.
Informing this at a press conference in Sirsi on Friday, Naik said that they have urged the deputy commissioner to allow them to meet the chief minister during his visit. In case, they are not allowed to meet the CM, they will protest in a unique way to draw his attention.
