Shiroor: The 22nd annual day celebration of the Green Valley International School and PU College, Shiroor was held on 6th January 2022, with colorful cultural and entertainment events here at the Institute campus.
The principal of the institution, John Mathew, delivered the introductory address and welcomed the gathering.
Addressing the students, the chief guest of the function Dr. Manjunatha Pattabhi, Professor, and Chairman, Department of Materials Science, Mangalore University said Teachers need to enjoy themselves with students, make children feel that you are present themselves and enjoy themselves, teachers are more responsible to have brought discipline students as they are more in numbers, but parents at home have to see two or more kids at home.
Asking questions, he said, Do you want to be successful in life? As you come to school and it is also the responsibility of parents to make the children prepare for failure. Pursue your passion to chase dreams, he added.
Another guest Commander Dr. Anil Rana, Director, MIT Manipal, said, I am deeply impressed by the way the management has maintained the school discipline and surroundings. Punctuality and time management are also more important. He also congratulated the management of GVNS.
Mr. Mohammed Meeran, Sr. Vice President & Managing Trustee, Shiroor Welfare Trust, told the students in his presidential address that it is an important time for students to make a decision about their life, take their parents and siblings into confidence while making a decision, think carefully and then make a final decision.
On this occasion, he paid tribute to the late Abdul Qadir Basho, the founder of the school, and praised his services.
The stage program was followed by a variety of entertainment and cultural programs presented by students. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various cultural competitions.
