Bhatkal: Slamming the BJP, Leader of Opposition in Legislative Council B K Hariprasad said, the BJP has no trust in the Indian Constitution.
They are indulged in purchasing 150 seats. If they are planning to purchase 150 seats, let them go for full 224 seats, why leave 74 seats, he questioned.
Speaking to media persons in Bhatkal on Sunday, he said, BJP State President Nalinkumar Kateel has been claiming that the party will win 150 seats. But, the trends have changed and the Congress is getting an overwhelming response in every constituency. The BJP is just daydreaming of continuing in power post-2023 assembly elections, he said.
Training his gun at BJP national general secretary C T Ravi, Hariprasad said, ‘Ravi is an alcoholic, and also a drug addict. He speaks nonsense in an inebriated condition. Reacting to such comments is not a wise decision. Tomorrow, Ravi in an inebriated condition may spring a surprise by saying he will join Congress, he chided.
To a query on JD(S) releasing first list of candidates, and Congress delaying in announcing candidatures, Hariprasad said, the JD(S) is a Joint Family Company. There is a lot of difference between the JD(S) and Congress. The aspirants have filed their applications, and scrutiny of applications is in progress. Once the process is completed, the party will announce list, he said.
