Karwar: A home guard was assaulted by miscreants when he asked the miscreants not to disturb a cinema hall on Wednesday night.

Ravi Devidas Naik, who was injured in the clash, is undergoing treatment at the district stadium. Those caught for assaulting him were Vinay Harikantra, Shailesh Harikantra and Nitin Kudtalkar. Another miscreant Nagesh Naik is absconding.

The accused were creating nuisance and disturbance at Arjun theatre in Karwar. Looking at this behaviour of the miscreants, home guard Ravi Naik asked them to mend their ways. But the four accused assaulted him. Town police have registered a case.
