
Bhatkal: The Bhatkal Town Municipal Council (TMC) has approved the 2025-26 surplus budget of ₹4.72 lakh, which was presented by acting president Mohiddin Altaf Kharuri during the general meeting.
For the 2025-26 financial year, the estimated revenue of the municipality is ₹15.16 crore, while the expenditure is projected to be ₹15.11 crore, resulting in a surplus of ₹4.72 lakh.

Water Supply Charges: ₹53 lakh
Municipal Commercial Complex Rent: ₹38.81 lakh
Advertisement Fees: ₹1.15 lakh
SFC Untied Grant: ₹60 lakh
15th Finance Commission Grant: ₹1.25 crore
Drought Relief Fund (Drinking Water Grant): ₹15 lakh
SBM Central Government Grant: ₹50 lakh
Pourakarmika Housing Scheme: ₹20 lakh

The budget presentation meeting was attended by Municipal Standing Committee Chairman Qaisar Mohtisham, Chief Officer Venkatesh Nauda, along with other municipal officials and councillors.
