Bhatkal: A fisherman who was fishing on a small boat went missing after lightning flashed across the sea on June 6, Monday morning. The search for the missing fisherman is still on.

The missing person has been identified as Nagraj Durgappa Harikanth (35).

As per the sources, many fishermen had ventured into the sea in small boats for fishing when a lightning struck for few moments. When the lightning subsided, Nagraj was missing from his boat. The fishermen immediately notified the Murdeshwar police station. 

Nagraj was searched near his boat but was nowhere to be found.

A case has been registered in Murdeshwar police station and the search operations are on.
