Karwar: “Teachers have come to know that Basavaraj Horatti, who represented Karnataka west teachers’ constituency for six terms, is dishonest to teachers,” said MP Ananthkumar Hegde.
Speaking to media persons here on Monday, he charged that Mr Horatti did not help teachers though he was in a position to solve their problems.
Pension facility was stopped for teachers appointed after2003, but Horatti did nothing, though he was education minister then.
He also did politics in education field, by bringing discrimination in the salary of government and aided school teachers. Horatti’s supporters are threatening teachers, and voters in this election would teach a suitable lessons to them, Hegde said.
If BJP comes to power in the State, salary discrimination and other problems of teachers would be solved. BJP candidate M Nagraj is efficient, and he would emerge victorious, he predicted.
