Joida: Three pedestrians died on the Hubballi-Goa Highway after they were hit by a Bolero vehicle of some Tamil Nadu-based tourists near Seetawada in Ramanagar taluk in Uttara Kannada district on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Parvathi Gawade (55), Durga Kalsekar (60) and Tulsi Gawade (50), all residents of Gharshi in Belagavi’s Khanapur taluk. Manjula Kolsekar of Gharshi and Bipin Dalavi of Ramanagar who were with them were injured. Local people caught the tourists responsible for the accident and handed them over to the police.
