Mangaluru: Members of Dalit Sangharsh Samithi (Ambedkar Vaada), Belthangady unit, staged a protest outside Dharmasthala police station on Monday and demanded a high-level probe into the murder of Sreedhar from Shibaje who hails from the SC community.

Earlier, a Dharmasthala police station chalo rally was taken out from Nethravathi bathing ghats to Dharmasthala police station.

DSS (Ambedkar Vaada) state organising convenor Mallesh Ambuga said atrocities on SC community has increased across the state as police have adopted a step motherly attitude towards members of SC community. “The government must take steps to arrest the persons involved in crimes against SC community,” he said. DSS state organising convenor Chandu, co-ordination committee general secretary Ashok Konchady, former prez of State Mugera Association Sundar Mera addressed the gathering.
