
Bhatkal: The results of the SSLC (Secondary School Leaving Certificate) examinations for the academic year 2024–25 were announced on Friday, with eight schools securing 100 percent results in Bhatkal taluk, while the overall pass percentage in the taluk stood at an impressive 88.75 percent.
Out of 2,018 students who appeared for the exams, 906 were boys and 1,112 were girls. Among them, 1,790 students passed, including 755 boys and 1,035 girls. Notably, girls outshone boys with a pass percentage of 93.08 percent, while boys recorded 83.33 percent.
The eight schools that achieved 100 percent pass results are Government High Schools in Jali and Gorate, Karnataka Public School in Bailur, Morarji Desai Residential School in Murdeshwar, Kittur Rani Chennamma Residential School in Heble, Srivalli High School in Chitrapur, Ali Public Girls English Medium High School in Bhatkal, and Vidyabharati English Medium High School in Bhatkal.
In terms of individual performance, Manohar Manjunath Naik from Morarji Desai Residential School, Murdeshwar, emerged as the top scorer in Bhatkal taluk by securing 622 marks out of 625 (99.52 percent). He was followed by Amrutha Ashok Naik of Beena Vaidya International Public School, Murdeshwar, who scored 621 marks (99.36 percent). The third position was jointly shared by Simra Mahreen G.M. of Anand Ashram Convent High School and Abhay N. Ranimane of Beena Vaidya International Public School, both scoring 620 marks (99.20 percent).
Among other high scorers were Vikas Vasu Moger of Anand Ashram Convent and Tanuja Narasimha Naik of Kittur Rani Chennamma Residential School, who each secured 618 marks (98.88 percent). Sinchana Mahesh Hegde of Anand Ashram Convent followed closely with 617 marks (98.72 percent).
In the Kannada medium category, Tejaswini Heriya Naik of Belke Government High School topped the list with 619 marks (99.04 percent), followed by Ashita Manjaya Naik from Karnataka Public School, Ternamakki, with 618 marks (98.88 percent). The third rank was shared by Koushik Datta Devadiga from Sri Durgaparameshwari High School, Alvekodi, as well as Sneha Madev Naik and Megha Gidda Naik from Karnataka Public School, Bailur — each scoring 617 marks (98.72 percent).
Among Urdu medium students, Azfareen Bushra from Upgraded Government Urdu High School (RMSA), Jamia Jali Heble, secured the top rank with 571 marks (91.36 percent). Suhana Shaikh from the same school stood second with 565 marks (90.4 percent), while Khalandar Saleem Didgur of Upgraded Government Urdu High School (RMSA), Nawayath Colony, ranked third with 564 marks (90.24 percent).
