Mangaluru: Amathe Vikram took charge as the 136th superintendent of police of Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday.

He was serving as the Intelligence SP.

The state government transferred Rishikesh Sonwane, who was serving as the DK SP, as the SP of Intelligence, on January 31.

He served as the DCP of Belagavi in the past.
