Gangolli: A fisherman who went for fishing in Panchagangavali rivulet drowned near Gangolli village in Udupi district on Tuesday and his body was recovered on Wednesday.

According to the police, Rajesh Kharvi (32), a resident of Gangolli, had gone for fishing in Panchagangavali rivulet. But he accidentally slipped from the boat and fell into the rivulet and was feared drowned on Tuesday. His body, which could not be traced on Tuesday, was recovered from the river on Wednesday. A case of unnatural death has been registered at Gangolli police station.
