Karwar: Light showers were seen throughout Friday in Uttar Kannada district. Malenad region received a good amount of rain while  weakened in semi-arid region.

The rain showered throughout the day only giving a break in the afternoon.  

Due to rainfall, houses which are located at low places were filled with water and had a difficult time. All the ponds and tanks were filled completely. During last 24 hours, the district received 338mm rainfall. It is estimated that average rain is 698mm during the month of June and so far the district received 519mm rainfall.  Ankola has received 35.2mm rainfall, Bhatkal received 41.4mm, Haliyal 2.8mm, Honnavar 58.4mm, Karwar 52.6mm, Kumta 94.6mm, Mundgod 2.8mm, Siddapur 26.4mm, Sirsi 6mm, Joida 6.6mm and Yallapur 11.2mm on Friday
