Temporary road damaged due to rains

Siddapur: The temporary road running besides Manihole Bridge was damaged due to rain that lashed Siddpaur taluk on Wednesday. This had disrupted movement of vehicles and people.
As the Manihole Bridge on Siddapur-Golimakki road was damaged, the Public Works Department had laid a temporary road beside the bridge in summer.

Facilitate movement

“We had planned to take off the pipes of the temporary road on June 1. But to facilitate movement of people, we had decided to keep the pipes till the monsoon hit the region”, PWD sources said.

As movement of vehicles is impossible now, people can take Siddapur-Harsikatta-Muthalli-Halkani-Kodar route to reach Herur and take Siddpaur-Harsikatta-Muthalli-Halkani-Kodsar-Golimakki route to reach Hegggarani-Nikund. The process of taking off the pipes of the temporary road besides on June 10 (Friday), PWD Engineer Mahesh said.
