Udupi:  Bus owner Dayanand Shetty tragically died after being struck by his own bus on Thursday. 

While inspecting the parked vehicle for repairs at an Athrady garage, a mechanic unintentionally started the engine, causing the bus to move forward. 

Dayanand, standing in front of it, was hit and fatally injured by the bus. 

The incident resulted in a registered case at Manipal police station.
