Udupi: Shankaranarayana police have arrested by a man for blackmailing a girl and threatening her of making her nude video public here on Friday.

According to police, the accused Santhosh Poojary, received the video from the girl's former boyfriend, identified as Sudarshan Shetty, who is absconding. Sudarshan and the girl were in love about three years ago and had broken up later. Santhosh was blackmailing the girl from past two months saying that he had received the nude video of the girl while taking bath and changing dress. The video was recorded by Sudarshan without the knowledge of the girl, the police added.

The police are searching for Sudarshan.

A case has been registered at Shankaranarayana police station under IPC sections 354 C and D.
